They See Me Hauling ..

As an ex Next employee back in my Uni days, I have seen first hand the utter craziness that ensues during the sales. Dragging myself into work at 4am and passing all the students going home from a night out (yes it really was that early humph), I would be greeted at the door by a hoard of ladies (and unimpressed partners that had been dragged out of bed) ready to bag themselves a bargain. What would ensue inside the shop was utter craziness, with bargain hunters leaving a sea of carnage behind them!! (note: a little tip I learnt, if you want to bag yourself a bargain, go a few days later when half of the items have have been returned and reduced further). Since then I like to bag my sale bargains from the comfort of my own home, free from pushing and prodding, and women fighting over the last pair of still hideously expensive shoes!!

Luckily for me, my birthday happened to coincide with most of the summer sales, waheeey. So its safe to say that I may have been a little naughty (I can still use my birthday as an excuse right?)

After reading this post by the gorgeous Amelia, I knew I needed the above floral shorts from Zara in my life!! I picked these up for about £30, not exactly a massive saving, as they were around £40 before they went into the sale, but I couldn't let them pass me by!!Okay okay so they may resemble your Grans curtains but I love them! The perfect balance between smart and casual, these gorgeous neon orange and pink shorts are a perfect fit, and a lifesaver during the recent heatwave. 

Carrying on with the neon theme (can you tell im a fan?!) I picked up the above neon pink flip flops from Tory Burch. I had been tempted to purchase these beauties for a while, so when I saw them in the sale for £20 down from £40 I knew I had to get them. On an impulse I also picked up the pink and neon orange bracelet, my reason?! because I thought it would go perfectly with the shorts!! ha. This was around £40 reduced from a whopping £70. 

Finally the birthday treat to myself.. With the extortionate price tag, I never in my wildest dreams (and yes I do have dreams that entails me raiding Chanel and Hermes) did I ever imagine being able to afford a YSL Arty Ring! When I saw this beautiful Arty on Net A Porter for about £100 (no thats not a typo) I knew I had to have it. I did hold off for a few days but finally convinced myself that A. I would regret it if I didn't purchase it (it was reduced from over £200), B. I had birthday money burning a whole in my pocket and C. If rumours are correct it may be my last chance to get my mitts on one (apparently there discontinuing the Arty Rings, boo). 

It really is love, and I cant stop staring at it!! The above stone is now sold out HOWEVER there are others still available in the Net A Porter sale for around £70 (a massive discount wouldn't you agree?!)

So there we have it my pick of the sales!
Right im off to hide my bank card!!

With Valentines just around the corner I decided that it was the perfect opportunity to adorn a little pink (any excuse eh). I fell in love with this oversized jumper after seeing this post on temporary Secretary's blog way back in october. After lusting after it for quite some time, I finally caved just before christmas, and Im so glad I did as this has become a staple item in my wardrobe. I decided to pair this oversized gem with my beloved miss selfridge scarf. The perfect match, these items have received many a compliment when worn together.

Friday Fancies #6.. Bedroom Decor

With endless pins on home decor, youtube videos boasting the most perfect walk in wardrobes, and vintage home pieces being offered on Etsy, its hardly surprising that everyones going decor crazy. 

My room to me is my place of solace, where I escape from the outside world, the place where I have girly chats with my best friends and heart to hearts with my boyfriend. Its the place I blog from and the place I sleep. Since graduating from university and moving back home, I have become uncontent with my childhood bedroom and have found myself forever adding bits and pieces to try and make it the perfect space. My dream room would be a romantic, girly space filled with vintage pieces.

Since browsing the next catalogue I have found myself lusting after the mirrored furniture above, I love how it incorporates both old and new with the use of the gold detailing. 

I'm lucky enough to have a boyfriend whom works within furniture. During my first week in university he turned up at the door with a bright pink ottoman that an old lady had given him, since then it has become a must have in my room, making use as shoe storage aswell as a seat!! A little on the shabby side now, I'm thinking of upholstering it, and the above ottoman from next is my inspiration.

In all honesty im a little cushion crazy, so I can't help but admire some of the offerings from H&M and Zara home. how cute is the love story cushion!!

Finally last but not least, being a typical girly girl, its safe to say that my room is filled with trinkets and candles, so it goes without saying that i find myself admiring one thing or another on a weekly basis ha.  Im loving the glass trinket box from Velvet along with the Winnie the pooh quote plack.

Hello lovelies I hope your all well. If the musical fanatics amongst you haven't already guessed by the title, tonight im off to the cinema to see the much anticipated Les Miserables. With it being one of my favourite musicals, im both excited to see the interpretation, aswell as being somewhat sceptical at the same time. 

With this bitter cold weather (I swear we are the only ones without snow, boo) im planning on wearing my new River Island Cardigan. Its not my usual style but im completely smitten with it, from the cut, to the pattern and of course the fur collar. Its super snug and perfect to jazz up a simple outfit. Above I have done just that and paired it with my trusty Zara tee and leggings.

Toms, Uggs and a pair of tatty Accessorize flats is the extent of my everyday footwear (excluding sandals, something which I have a plenty haha). With this being the case, I saw the Christmas sales as the perfect opportunity (okay more excuse) to add some staple items to my wardrobe. In all honesty, apart from a pair of boots that are yet to arrive, I may have gone a bit overboard on the pumps front. 

Although purchasing four pairs of flats is somewhat excessive, its nice having an option, and the perfect pair of shoes to finish off an outfit, rather than lazily throwing on a pair of toms. My faviourite pair of shoes from the sales would have to be the sparkly black velour flats. I spotted these beauties sat alone under a table in my size looking pretty whilst making my way to the till (it must have been fate). Needless to say they made their way into my basket, much to my bank accounts dismay.

Since my first visit to a Michael Kors store whilst on the fabulous sex and the city tour in New York, I have been completely infatuated with the brand and all its fabulous offerings. So you can imagine my excitement whilst in covent garden, when my boyfriend turned around and said that I could pick one of their iconic bags as a Christmas present. 

This medium jet set tote in a gorgeous purple shade caught my eye straight away, after prancing around the shop, bag in arm, whilst discussing all its little details to the enthusiastic sales assistant (she really didn't need to try selling it to me, I'd been won over already), there it was my first designer handbag encased in its very own dust bag. To cut a long story short this exciting event ended up with me crying in the middle of covent garden over the truly amazing gift I had just received (I obviously had to wait till Christmas).

 The perfect accompaniment to any outfit, I paired my new arm candy today with my trusty Zara basics tshirt, Zara leggings and my topshop snood. A little splash of colour to a somewhat plain outfit.

Tenby, a beautiful seaside town  full of balamory esque houses, brimming with history, quirky gift shops and the best fish & chips shop for miles, is one of those places that never fails to bring a smile to my face come rain or shine. 

With nothing but a handful of tourists and locals out for their afternoon stroll, I spent my Sunday afternoon wandering around this fabulous town with the boyfriend taking in the beautiful scenery, whilst taking a photo or two. 

Full to the brim, curled up on the sofa with Christmas money in hand, I found myself on boxing day browsing the Kurt Geiger website, which ultimately ended up with me purchasing the above sparkly red Carvela pumps. In all honesty I do not regret buying these one bit, even if they weren't the biggest bargain in the world. Beautiful yet comfy whats not to love?? needless to say they've received several admirers and have gained the nickname "Dorothy", which I would totally agree with, What do you think?? 

Friday Fancies...Zara

I never particularly paid much attention to Zara until my housemate introduced me to their jeans a good year ago (the only jeans i swear by) but since then, i hadn't set foot in a Zara until a few weeks back when i decided to take a nosey at what they had to offer during their summer sale, and managed to walk out with all the tops i tried on (this never happens to me). Since then i have been hooked, so much so that i have been admiring their offerings on a frequent basis.

I absolutely love this dress, its the type that goes with everything. I can imagine wearing it during the day time with leggings/tights and boots with a waist belt and slouchy cardi. It could also be dressed up with a bit of bling and a pair of killer heels

Im ridiculously fussy when it comes to boots, but i think i may have found the ones in these. I think they would go with most looks and as for the studs, aaah its love ;)..just need to find £70 to purchase them (anyone? ha)
