SparkleTree

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a good start to the week so far!!..yesterday i think i found my haven ;)..i have always been a fan of all things sparkly, and i swear i must have been a magpie in my previous life so when my friend in work mentioned a local cafe where you go and make your own jewelley i jumped at the chance. The concept itself is such a lovely one, the shop is run by a very beautiful lady with a definite passion for jewelley. Me and my friend walked in to the sight of gorgeous decor and tables covered in beautiful bowls with every colour bead and design you could think of, with trees covered in necklaces and other lovely delights.

The lovely lady showed us the many different designs we could achieve, and gave us a bowl to fill with beads to our hearts content ;) i literally could have picked and made everything..me and the bestie both decided to go for those twisty bracelets so we sat down on one of the beautiful tables and started our creations!!..tools were set out on the table to use, but as our design was quite simple we didn't really need them, but after seeing some of the designs i would assume there quite tricky (some of the designs included watches and charm bracelets)..

.and here is my lil bracelet, i know its something i will treasure, above us on the wall was a sign saying "the best thing about memories is making them" which i think sums up this beautiful shop to a tee!!

It cost £10 altogether including the use of the studio, the materials and all the lovely beads, although its slightly more that what you may pay for jewelley, the outcome is something unique!!
for a first attempt i love my bracelet :), has anyone else found a similar idea??

My Makeup Story.. Tag

I saw this on the lovely ellybellybaybee's blog and thought id have a go

1. How old were you when you started wearing makeup??
i remember one of the first times i ever wore makeup, i had a ballet concert and i was allowed to wear a little bit of silver eyeshadow haha, along with a face covered in glitter. I think i was about 14 or 15 when i properly started wearing it, i used to wear bright purple eyeshadow and uber thick purple eyeliner haha, as well as foundation way to dark for my skintone (orange face white neck comes to mind).

2. How did you get into makeup?
iv'w worn makeup since i was about 15 but when i was about 17 and went to romania, some of the girls were quite glam and their makeup looked flawless, one of them holly did my makeup to go out, after i saw how much doing it properly could alter my look i was completely hooked!!

3.What are some of your favourite brands?
i like a mix of everything my favourite high street brand being bourjous and my favourite high end brand being either MAC or benefit (the packagings always a winner)

4. what does makeup mean to you?
makeup can enhance a look and features, it makes it easier to express myself and show my individuality without being to out there. it also gives me self confidence, for example if im having a bad skin day i just wack on some concealer, or if im feeling a bit colourful i just pick a nice shadow or lipstick

Wehearit
5. if you could only wear four products on your face what would they be??
concealer, mascara, eyeshadow, eyeliner

6. What is your favourite thing about make-up??
it can change a look, i have so many friends that are naturally gorgeous that with a bit of makeup can just look wow haha. it also gives people confidence which is a really good thing

7. what do you think about drugstore makeup vs high end make-up??
il admit it is nice once in a while to treat yourself to something high end, and have something you'll treasure, but most of the time some of the drugstore brands do the same thing as the high end stuff, plus i love finding a dupe for something expensive :)

8. What is one tip of advice you can give to a beginner?
do what you feel comfortable and don't copy everyone (remember one shade of foundation doesn't suit everyone) and also the more you experiment the better your outcome

9. What is one makeup trend you never understood??
i know a few people have mentioned it but definitely the whole concealer on lips

10. what do you think about the beauty community on YouTube and blogger??
I have talked to so many lovely people because of blogging, ive also learnt some great things, all the gorgeous girlies are great and so friendly, yeah ok there are some that make it a competition of followers and are mean to others, but that is a very small minority, and most bloggers are just bloody great :)..as for YouTube i give everyone single person who posts a video credit because i don't think i would have the guts to do it!!

Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette..Review

Hello lovelies, hope your all having  great Saturday, so when i came home from work last night i was excited to be welcomed by a parcel from debenhams, which was as you may guess the Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette!!.. this was ordered on Monday so pretty quick delivery :)
They have seriously gone all out on the packaging for this, the palette itself was sat inside a strong velvet keepsake box, im already planning on putting some of my jewellery pieces in it!! the palette itself looks like a trinket box with a really lovely pattern on the side and i love the UD in like plastic gems on the top, there's only one fault i have with the packaging and that is that it its fingerprint prone which you can probably see by the next picture ;)

so onto the colours they are all such lovely colours my favourite definitely being tainted, omen and vanilla

top- L-R: midnight rodeo, tainted, deeper, midnight 15, junkshow, M.I.A, Vanilla, omen
bottom- L-R: Ace, flow, evidence, blackout, chase, deep end, half truth

Like all other urban decay shadows these shades are really pigmented and such lovely deep colours!!..i cant wait to start playing around with the shades..after religiously using my naked palette, the shadows are the only ones i have ever used that manage to stay put all day, so i cant wait to see if these also do the job!!

pros- absolutely gorgeous packaging, makes the price worthwhile
lovely shades, i think quite a range of looks can be created out of the choices
really pigmented

Cons- its £39 so pretty hefty for a palette, but your definitely paying for what you get!!
the packaging leaves lovely smudgy fingers ;)

So what do you guys think?? anyone else tried it yet??

Hey Diva

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a good week so far...i dont know about any of you but i am a total sucker for a Miss Selfridge, Diva sale..over the years iv'e had some great pieces for a mere pound or two, so here's what i got this time!!

i literally fell in love with these, there very bright but look how gorgeous the peacocks are, these were around £8 reduced to the great price of £3

Its a bit random but i love this ring, it reminds me of my rose plastic ring from top shop which is slightly worse for wear haha, this was a £1 so i couldnt leave it behind

how lovely are these, cant go wrong with studs, these were actually reduced to £2

and finally these lovelies i couldnt resist these were about a £1

so what do you guys think of the Diva range??
picked up any bargains??

NOTD..Ciate Wait Until Dark

Hello Lovelies, hope your all enjoying your Saturday whatever you may be doing :)..i feel like im dying as iv'e just been playing zumba on kinect (so unfit).
you can see the various colours in the bottle!!
So being a fan of Nail Polish, i had to get this months Marie Claire as iv'e been desperate to try Ciate's polish for ages!! I chose to get Wait until Dark (a choice between this and a nude colour), and my word i just LOVE this colour, i have alot of purples but nothing quite like this, the colour continuously changes in the light theres a bit of black/brown/purple and mauve in this colour i love it..as for coverage two coats would be enough, although it seemed to have a bit of a matte finish to it, but another coat seemed to do the trick..ciate state that they make "flawless painting made easier with optimum 250 bristle flat brush", i must be honest my nails seemed a hell of a lot less streaky than usual!!..seriously for £3 whatever the magazine is its definitely worth going to get this girls :)

Has anyone else tried Ciate?? what do you think of their polishes??

A Royal Affair..help please!!

Hello lovelies, hope your all having a lovely week!! now i bet your thinking this post is about the recent royal wedding of Zara Philips or something along the lines of Kate Middletons wonderful style but nope!! Im in a bit of a kerfuffle, about three years ago i religiously went to the gym, raised money for charity, helped build a school in Romania and climbed the wicklow mountains like a trooper, why you may ask?? to achieve my gold duke of Edinburgh Award..now all this time has past and everything has been signed off, i have now been invited to St James Palace where i shall meet a member of the Royal Family, and receive my award from a celebrity of some sort (not really counting my lucky stars for the bronze it was some random women who had climbed a mountain)..so heres where i need your help..i need to dress smart but i dont want to look to dressed up and i dont want to look to dressed down :S ..see my kerfuffle?? haha
these are the ideas i have so far but any help would be very very grateful :)

Okay so in a way this post is about Kate Middleton, as i want something along the lines of these looks of her, they seem casual/smart as well as classy :/ what do you guys think??
